I must have read every review posted on Trip Advisor regarding the Inca Trail, so I wanted to return the favor and post my experience for future Trekers to take advantage of.
I booked two trips through Qente. The 4d/3n inca trail and a 2d/1n shortened trip for my mother in law.
The 4d/3n trip went brilliantly. Our guide Edwin was outstanding. Food was good, porters good, equipment good. The only downside was that there were strikes at the time and so we ended up being out of Cusco for 6d/5n and we wished they’d suggested to us to do the trail in 3d/2n to avoid the strikes. Anyone with good fitness who is acclimatised to the altitude should be able to do the walk pretty easily. Doing it in 4d/3n we only walked max 4 hours per day. A couple with us did take up to 10 hours per day however. Despite that I’d give our tour 5 stars.
Not done it yet, but people had told me it’s an amazing trek with wonderful views finishing with an espectacular view of Machu Picchu……have to do it next time i visit Cusco!!!!!!
